In the term paper you are going to take on one or more forms of inequality in the United States, in which you were in the privileged part. You are going to bring together the course readings (you need to deal directly with at least 5 readings, plus you should engage in an intersectional analysis.
This paper length is about 6 pages double-spaced, 12pt, times new roman.
Please try to follow the structure explained below.
First, the paper should start with an introduction (about one page, double spaced) that tells the reader what you want to accomplish in the paper; What the topic(s) you are going to discuss; What the relevant issues are what the overarching argument paper is; What the relevant theoretical arguments are How you are going to approach these issues in your discussion and finally What your conclusion(s) is/are.
Second, the introduction should be followed with a well-organized summary of the your relevant observations from the American Society. (about 2 pages, double spaced) telling us the place, time, context of the case.
Third you should relate your observations to at least five of the class topics and examine the arguments made during the class discussions in the light of your own observations, addressing all the relevant issues/questions raised during your class presentations. You can also support your claims with your observations from American society in general. (about 2 pages)
Finally, you should come up with a conclusion. (half to one page)

There are no specific required topics, as you are supposed to analyze yourself in terms of one or more systems of oppression. It is up to you to choose which system of oppression you are going to focus on. Additionally, you need to bring in some intersectional analysis, this is why we have a requirement to include more than one week of topics.
So let’s say, you are going to write about how might your class position have affected you, but you should always ask the question “What is the other thing?” And also consider how gender, race, ethnicity, or sexuality might have affected you either positively or negatively. you need to make references to 5 readings.
