Research Papers
1. Title page It should have your
name, title of paper and school. The
date is optional. This information
should be centered on the page. This
page 1 the number 1 should be in the right hand corner of the paper. The letters in the title should not be bold
or capitalized.
2. YOU NEED A RUNNING HEAD ON YOUR
PAPER.
3. YOU DO NOT NEED AN ABSTRACT.
4. After your title page you start the
context of your paper. The title should
be centered on this page. YOU DO NOT
NEED THE TITLE ON THE PRECEDING PAGES. This
should be page 2.
5. The rest of the pages should be
numbered including the reference page.
YOU DO NOT NEED YOUR LAST NAME NEXT TO THE PAGE NUMBER.
6. The margins in the context of your
paper should be 1 inch all away around.
When you start a new paragraph use the tab key to indent. The paper should have multiple
paragraphs. The paper should not be one
long paragraph. Paragraphs should have
at least 5 sentences in them.
7. The paper should be double
spaced. In between your name on the
title page the title and the school it should be also double spaced.
8. DO NOT PLAGARIZE. Please cite your work and paraphrase when you
use someone elses work even if you cite it. Do not use someone elses paper
and put your name on it. This will result in a zero.
9. The typeface should be Times New
Roman and the font 12-point font.
10. Proper grammar and punctuation should be used.
11. The paper should be 5 to 8 pages long. This does not include the title page or the
reference page.
12. The peer reviewed paper can come from
the internet as long as the source is a scientific website. Use
the library website to get articles. Do
not forget to cite when you use someone elses work in the paper. Reference page should be centered on the
page. This is the page for the references
from
which you cited. The paper I gave
you has a website on to cite. DO NOT USE
WIKIPEDIA
13. Please cite within your paper when
using someone elses work.
