In this paper, I’d like you to explore the world of metaphor
and/or symbolism. Pick two objects/concepts or events from the novel that you
feel are symbols or metaphors, and analyze these two items for what they stand
for throughout the novel. We have talked in class and in our discussion threads
about possibilities.
Using the material from our links, as well as from our
discussion boards and the book itself, write the paper and make your case. For
this paper, you do not have to use all the sources, but you must include at
least ONE of the academic lectures as you define what you are discussing.
