Steps to Writing an Effective Argument Paper:
1. Select a topic.
2. Research the topic.
3. Select a position on that topic.
4. Organize your argument and outline BEFORE you write.
5. Draft—beginning, ending, and middle, title.
6. Polish—feedback, editing, proofreading, publish, and evaluate your work
