Look at the picture of students working together.
Throughout your college career, you are likely to be involved in numerous group projects. How might group members be classified? Write a classification essay exploring this topic. There are several criteria you could consider, from role within the group to work ethic. As you plan, keep the following in mind.
Choose your criteria for classification.
Have clearly-defined subtopics.
Look for areas of overlap or obvious exceptions.
Ensure that your support is concrete and detailed.
Use transitions such as for example or in contrast to show the meaning relationship between ideas.
You may also select one of the below topics to write about:
– People’s attitudes toward technology (or toward a particular issue)
– Different types of study habits (or different ways students approach the academic demands of college)
– Types of shoppers (could limit to holiday shoppers or shopping for a particular item, such as a car)
– Types of politicians (could focus on attitudes toward a particular issue or ways of campaigning)
– Types of global issues (could be types of pollutants or people’s attitudes toward recycling or global warming)
Please follow the template below and remember to include the following, based on our previous assignments:
– An introduction with a motivator, thesis, and blueprint (with three supporting points) based on ch. 2 and 7
– Substantive body paragraphs with good topic sentences and all four supporting points in each paragraph, based on ch. 3 and 4
– A conclusion with a restatement of your thesis and a clincher, based on ch. 8
