Essay #3 Scenario: The local school is opening a new cafeteria. They want feedback from students or parents of what kinds of foods should be available. The school wants you to write a proposal of why the community wants or does not want the new cafeteria and food options. All of your recommendations need to be supported by research and your proposal should contain at least three concrete recommendations for changes.
Start by deciding what kind of school has hired you: for example, K-5, 6-8, 9-12, public, private, charter school or college. You can make this up, or use as inspiration a school you attended or a school that your child attends. Then, do some research into possible recommendations. Make sure you follow these guidelines for the proposal:
– Include a summary explaining the school’s current situation (such as the demographics of students attending, whether it is a public, private, or charter school, etc.)
– State a clear thesis that advances specific recommendations
– Include research from at least 4 articles, 2 of which should come from the class database and one from the library.
– Document your research in MLA format and include a works cited page.
The school will be K-5 public school, and it has to be about a school in new jersey. the name of the school should be New Amsterdam elementory school.
it can be for or against, which ever is easier for you.
