2) Now that you’ve seen what these various groups have said about various facets of your proposed topic, consider what you could do to bring these perspectives together, thereby complicating/enhancing/challenging their assumptions or interpretations about the literature itself AND about the literature period/culture at the time of publication. This statement will then become your working thesis.
