Respond to the following prompt-
How do you socially construct health, medicine and “drugs”? How is it different or similar to the Shaman’s tradition/social construction of yage (ayahasca) and the healing ritual in the film? Do our own conceptions of health, healing, drugs, and medicine lead us to make assumptions that might not reconcile with the traditional ayahuasca healing ritual? ISomething to consider, is there a spirtual component in your conception of health which would allow for use of a substance like ayahuasca?
If you are uncertain about how to answer this, it may be helpful to look up ayahuasca and see how mass media/news media has presented it.
I will be looking for approximately 3 pages, double spaced, no particular format, however, citations should be consistant (pick the format of your choice for cites). Remember to do in text citation as well as a works cited page at the end.
