The primary purpose of each film/podcast essay is to confirm that you watched the film, and that you did some thoughtful analysis of the film. Each essay should be about two pages. Write efficiently and be specific. Thus, your instructions are to 1) summarize the movie/video/podcast, 2) connect it to class material [e.g., symptoms depicted, potential diagnosis, what other information you would need to inform such diagnosis], 3) describe something you found interesting/novel, 4) reflect on one bias you experienced or a new perspective that you gained [e.g., had not thought of the caregiver’s perspective]. Last, at the end of your assignment, include one reliable source for information on the disorder you discuss (with hyperlink to website) and the phone number for the Suicide Prevention Hotline. These last two items do not count as part of the 2 pages, and should be simple additions to the end of your paper as pictured below:
