What you would be doing:
Youll be attending a play readings on Zoom (so, you get to choose which one) You will listen and watch the reading, focusing as much as possible on the text (the actors voices and facial expressions will obviously affect your experienceyou cant separate them completely).
So, youll be focusing on the plot, characters relationships and motivations for what they do, themes, style of language usedbasically the same thing you might do for an analysis of ANY kind of story.
You will then write a 500-word critique of the play so the playwright can get your feedback as food for thought.For playwrights, often the best way to help the is by mentioning those things that
…stood out to you and are or could be valuable, either as simply entertainment or theatrical value (remember, if its not compelling or entertaining, the play STINKS!)
