There
are a wide variety of resources available on OSU’s campus to make a student’s
time here as beneficial as possible. The purpose of this assignment is to help
you become an expert in the resources available and to share your knowledge
with your classmates.
You
are not required to be on campus to create your video or to meet with your
group members in-person.
Video
apps you can use to create your submission, include iMovie, Clips, Explain
Everything, or Adobe Premier Rush just to name a few. You may use any program and are encouraged to
be as creative as possible. The video submissions must be uploaded to our
Carmen and can be a website URL or media recording.
To
thoroughly describe and teach your peers about your resource, the video
submission should be no less than 1:30 and no longer than 5 minutes.
All
students are required to present in the video and share information about the
resource in order to earn participation points for the assignment.
Some
examples of information that should be included in the video:
Where is the resource located
(address, website, etc.)
Who can access or utilize this
resource?
What services does the resource
provide?
How do you make an appointment or
access the services?
What should you do prior to
utilizing the resource (have insurance card, complete work examples, talk to
academic advisor, etc.)?
Some
things to consider:
Will you have assigned roles of
director, editor, or script writer for the video or will this be done as a
group?
How will you incorporate each
student in the video?
Which editing/recording program do
you have the most experience with?
