Why do we still read these 1000-year old stories? There is something about them that ties us to the idea of what once was (or maybe was not). How many of you read or watch a film and ask yourself, “did these monsters ever really exist?” If these creatures (like dragons) did not exist, where did someone get the idea of a flying, ferocious, fire breathing animal? Dragons, like many mythological creatures are still prevalent in modern day film and literature. Why do we still talk about them? Dragons still hold an important role in storytelling and in psychology. They are hugely symbolic.
