The purpose of this formal report is to describe the human right to clean water. More specifically, you will consider the challenges and responses concerning clean water access in three regions: Flint, Michigan, Bangladesh and South Africa.
Use the six sources that you researched (see the requirements of the sources above).
This is a formal report.
Only include your name on the report; you don’t need a title page.
Single-space your work.
Use headings and sub-headings to guide the reader through your report.
You should have three full pages of text with your fourth page devoted to your references.
Begin with an abstract of your report. Do not devote an entire page to your abstract. Rather, you should provide a paragraph abstract that is immediately followed by your introduction and body paragraphs.
Here is a guide on how to write an abstract (Links to an external site.).
Include an introductory paragraph.
In your introduction, you should establish that access to clean water is a human right—cite at least one source.
The last sentence of your introduction should be a one sentence thesis statement. (Links to an external site.)
You may choose to use RTW or not for your body paragraphs.
You may have 2 or 3 CERs in each paragraph, if you do use RTW.
You should use various type of evidence (Links to an external site.).
Of course, you should have ample evidence and reasoning in your report, even though you don’t have to use RTW. You should cite whenever you use evidence from a source.
If you choose to paraphrase (Links to an external site.) take great care—you must truly use your own words and cite.
Include a concluding paragraph in which you provide your personal insights on the human right to clean water.
Use correct APA citation format and references, using your APA Guide (Links to an external site.) and looking up rules as necessary.
Your references should be on the final page of your report–the references do not count as part of the three pages of text required.
