This research paper will be about how graffiti culture has changed from self expression into a criminal activity. In the recent past, graffiti has become demonized and criminalized. Many people across this subculture express themselves with graffiti and do not believe it is a criminal act.

Grading guidelines for final paper:
EUH 2001 final paper must examine an aspect of the West in the 20th or 21st century.
The paper must make a historical argument using evidence.
The paper should be between 2000 and 2500 words.
An “A” paper will have:
+A proper introduction that sets up the paper well
+An accurate and specific thesis
+ Effective and trustworthy evidence

+Good use of detail and specifics (names/dates/places/events)
+Successful critical analysis

+Reach proper word count of 2000 words for the essay

+Complete bibliography
+Historical accuracy throughout
