Thesis:
Be aware of the importance of ensuring proper infant nutrition which is fundamental to children and their continued health from birth through adulthood and the need to stop using of market available milk products to feed infants instead of using human milk
Main Point 1: Human milk and its role in providing optimum infant nutrition
Human milk is nature’s extraordinary invention to supply macro-nutrients, micro-nutrients to infants combined with enzymes, hormones, along with several other anti-infective factors, growth factors, stem cells, pre-biotic molecules, and many more components (Gebauer & Thome, 2020). Further, human milk is also preferred as the enteral diet for preterm infants that provides the required amount of nutrients, and bioactive factors which altogether support an infant’s neuro and physical development (Ong & Belfort, 2021).
Main Point 2: Lowers morbidity as well as mortality
Proper feeding in the first three years of a child’s life is highly important as it plays the most crucial role in lowering morbidity as well as mortality. This is because feeding an infant properly in his/her first three years reduces the risk of getting affected with non-curable chronic diseases throughout life (WHO, 2022). Correct infant nutrition promotes a child’s regular physical and mental development and thus, lowers the chances of mental health issues and the rate of child mortality.
Main Point 3: Donkey milk in infant nutrition
Donkey milk plays a significant role in infant nutrition in ancient times. Today, it powerfully comes back as a functional food for infant nutrition because of its ability to boost infants’ immune systems (Bertino et al., 2022).
