Trauma

for each case presented here (file attached) – address the following questions in a one pager. If you are familiar with an AVID one-pager, you know that they use images to portray what they want to say. In this reflection though, there will be no images used – simply word reflections and thoughts addressing the following questions.
Questions:
What signs do you see?
What do you see as some of the child’s strength?
What are some challenges that you observe?
As a teacher, what plan would you put in place to assist the child?
How do you help families and/or school personnel to recognize coping behaviors that are a result of trauma vs. “bad behavior?” Are these signs different?
In what ways can we help children develop secure attachment relationships when they have been exposed to early trauma?
