Where Do You Go From Here?
In this Discussion Board, you will share the results of your project — what did you do? How did you do? — and reflect on what you learned in this course. Is there anything that really stuck out and changed your way of thinking? Do you think this paradigm shift is important?
Utilize the following questions to help:
* Ultimately, how successful were you in altering your behavior to lessen your carbon footprint? Will you continue with the changes you made?
* What might you do differently to lessen your carbon footprint even more?
* What are the main obstacles (if any) that deter or prevent you from green living?
* How can you be more environmentally proactive in your home, neighborhood, and beyond?
* What changes do you think you will make as a result of this course?
* What will you share with others to do your part as a good environmental steward?
Be sure to address all Discussion Board topics in an original, well-thought-out, respectful manner. Main posts should fully and completely discuss each question posed and make frequent, informed references to this unit’s material. Engage in ongoing, productive conversation by responding to a minimum of two classmates per topic. Responses to classmates should be at least 50 words. Remember, you will learn more by sharing ideas!

Classmates Allan

Hi class.
I want to take this time to express how positively this course has affected me in questioning how I do some things and my contribution to the environment. As I move forward I pledge to be more actively engaged in reducing my carbon footprint and inspiring others to be more engaged in reducing their carbon footprint. As a community, organization, and Country there is so much we can do to reduce our carbon footprint but most importantly is our role in history as those that will come after us are going to look back at and see how we positively contributed to the environment and continued to push for better policies that will preserve thousands if not millions of species from going extinct.
Finally, I want to take this time to say thank you to each one of you for your contribution to this course, your insights and views did help in furthering my understanding of this course.

Classmate
Hello All,
I feel that the project for this course provided me with a lot of insight on what I can do to leave these world better then what I came into. I did my project that involved me and my wife to carpool to and from work. Because of this my carbon footprint was able to reduce. My family was able to use less fuel, it also allowed us to save some money which was a great thing for us.
We currently are still carpooling because we have the capability to do it. When we originally started this we had to get permission to change our lunchtime so they were at the same time. With that, we were able to have a quite hour together during work. That also made work less stressful.
In order to be more environmental proactive in my home, we are looking at ways to decrease or foot print on the environment. Thus far we have decreased our use of water, I also purchased a solar panel to hook the camper too. This helped keep the camper from having to be plug into the house.
My parents have also started doing a couple of things. They changed there electric fence to a solar electric fence. They also started there own compost for the garden. I try to share things with people when they are willing to listen.
Thank you for your time and a great class.
