Unit 2 Integration Reading “QQR”

Each Unit will include a written assessment. For Units 1-4, the written assessment is called the Integration Reading QQR. Complete a paper using the QQR (question, quotation, and reflection) approach on the related reading found for this assignment. The related reading is attached to this assignment. It is by Jeeves & Ludwig, not from your textbook.
The typed, 3-page QQR includes the following components: Question, Quotation, and Reflection.
Question:
Three Questions prompted by the assigned reading: A good question is both a question that your fellow students could answer and a question that requires analysis, synthesis, interpretation, and critical thinking in order to answer it. You don’t necessarily have to have an answer to your question, indeed the most interesting questions often don’t have a definitive answer. Here are some types of questions that would meet this requirement:
Analysis: Questions beginning with “Why…” “How would you explain…” “What is the importance of…” “What is the meaning of”
Compare and contrast: “Compare…” “Contrast…” “What is the difference between…” “What is the similarity between…”
Cause and effect: “What are the causes/results of…” “What connection is there between…”
Clarification: “What is meant by…” “Explain how…”
Quotation
Three Quotations from the reading, selected as particularly compelling or controversial (each student must cite the page number in the reading that each quote is taken from)
Reflection
A reaction paper prompted by the reading. What questions, comments, controversies, etc. came to mind while reading the material? How do you integrate your faith and the content of each reading?
