ANSWER ONE OF THE 3 QUESTIONS FROM BELOW *** USE THE READINGS FROM OPENSTAX TO ANSWER QUESTION USE TWO SOURCES FROM READING
1) You “reply” to the Discussion Forum Assignment (or the classmate’s Assignment you are commenting on) by clicking on “reply” and then scrolling down to the bottom of the page. Inside the box is where you copy and paste your response. Please post in full text—do not post as an attachment. When you are finished, please click on “post reply.” You will not have access to your classmates’ posts until you have posted your own assignment.
2) Thoroughly read all assigned text material for the module’s discussion forum assignment BEFORE submitting ANY part of your discussion assignment. If you skip this step, your posts will lack depth and will be graded, accordingly.
3) A 500-1000 word answer in standard essay form is required (i.e., traditionally, five paragraphs). Strive for depth, clarity and precision in your responses. Spell check, grammar check, and carefully proofread your answer before you post it. Remember, the quality of your contributions to discussion forums will count for about one-third of your course grade. Your writing should be formal. An introduction, body, and conclusion are expected. DO NOT exceed the word limit.
4) Plagiarism is the use of someone else’s ideas, words, creations, etc., in a manner that suggests that you are the originator. Only course materials may be cited. Citing the textbook is mandatory. Section numbers following a direct quote or a paraphrased statement(s) are required, for example: (16.3). I recommend a maximum of two direct quotes for essays of this length. Copying from the textbook and/or simply including the section number without putting quotations around the statement(s) used in assignments/critiques/exams is plagiarism. Cutting and pasting off the Internet and/or copying another classmate’s discussion forum assignment are expressly forbidden. Plagiarism will result in an “F” in the course and possible expulsion from the college.
