Value Claim Essay Guidelines

For this assignment, you will be utilizing the same topic/social issue that you wrote for your Fact Claim essay and gather different necessary sources to support your argument and claim, and develop a warrant that will establish a connection between your support and claim. This essay will consist of exactly 6-6.5 pages and contain an MLA works cited. You will be allowed to use emotional tone and wording such as: need and must. You want to make your reader notice what is happening in the world, or to “Man” or the “Human” condition, which is good or bad.
The Argument is composed of at least three parts:
The Value Claim: A claim that asserts some things are more or less desirable than others.
The Support: Whatever source, professional or scholarly or material that proves an issue or claim, which includes appeals to the needs and value of the audience.
The Warrant: Again a general principal or assumption that establishes a connection between the support and the claim or a belief or principal that is taken for granted.
You must also utilize four different important sources:
-1 Book -1 Journal Article
-1 Magazine -1 Newspaper
Value claims about morality express judgments about the rightness or wrongness of conduct or belief. Regardless of what a value claim argues, often they may depend upon claims of fact as support. You must remember that values are conceptions or ideas that act as standards for judging what is right or wrong, worthwhile or worthless, beautiful or ugly, good and bad. You must have different sources and main ideas. The Argument is composed of at least three parts:
