VOT in English

You need to be familiar with the program “Praat”.
My topic is about VOT in English .
– You can compare differences in VOT in English voiceless stops pronounced in different positions in a word (word-initial in a stressed syllable, word-initial in an unstressed syllable, after [s], intervocalic in a stressed syllable, intervocalic in an unstressed syllable). Please make sure you record at least one native speaker of English.

The paper should have a fixed structure and contain four sections.
1. It should include an introduction with a brief description of the acoustics of the sound
category (categories) in question, clear formulation a research question and your predictions.
Your major source should be the textbook, but feel free to include additional sources, if
necessary. Please cite all your sources using the APA style.
2. In a separate section, you should describe your method, which includes procedure,
examples of materials (words) and type of measurements. Please consider adding a
screenshot of a PRAAT window that shows the measurement.
3. The next section should describe your results. This typically includes a report of the
averages for the categories of interest and a chart that demonstrates the differences between
the categories or speakers.
4. Finally, a short section with discussion and conclusion should summarize your findings.
Please comment on whether your results meet the predictions, or you have discovered
something new or unexpected.
