Voting age

I uploaded and example of the journal topic lay out.

Directions: Please review the Sample Journal before starting the Journal 1 assignment. You will set the top margin at 1/2 inch and left/right/bottom margins at 1.0 inch. Please note the information at the top left corner. Press the enter key once. This information is entered as single spaced. Press the tab a second time then enter the title. Be sure the title is centered.

The first line of all paragraphs should be indented (press tab key once). The text from the title downward should be double spaced. if you need a second page, then write your name and a page number in the upper right. This should be right justified. You can view the Sample Journal in Week 1 on the Module page.

Please use 11-point Arial or Veranda font and double spaced.

Each Journal should be at least one full page or 300 words. Anything less, will be marked as an incomplete assignment.

Also note, that your work will be run through plagiarism software. Thus, you will want to do your own work.

Journal Topic 18: Voting Age

The current age for eligible citizens to vote in the United States is 18. There are some who believe that the voting age should be raised to 21 which would be the same age as the legal drinking age. Others say the voting age should be lowered to 16 since some teens are working and are directly impacted by politicians’ decisions and therefore should have a voice in electing these lawmakers. Do you believe the voting age should be lowered to 16, remain at 18, or be raised to 21? Explain you answer.
