It is a new year which is also an opportunity for self reflection and self growth. There are six behaviors that contribute to wellness that our text presents. They are the following; adequate sleep, smoking cessation, better diet, weight loss, stress relief, and exercise. Is this one of the behaviors you would like to change?
Is there another behavior that you would like to change to improve your health? Are we suffering from anger, road rage, negativity, substance misuse or abuse?
We are all different and we are all unique and we can agree that change is very difficult and sensitive. We may have tried to modify or change our behavior before and have not been successful. This is where we can never give up on ourselves especially when we know that this can benefit our health and overall wellness.
Please watch the video below and utilize the textbook as a resource to answer the following questions.
-What are one of these behaviors that you need to change, modify or address that as a result can improve your own personal wellness?
-How can you utilize your personality to your advantage? Dig deep into these innate tendencies that you each have to help you initiate change and make it last?
-Address this behavior and reflect upon what obstacles are standing in your way? Are there roadblocks in your own personal environment that can be addressed to help you move forward to optimal wellness? How can honest communication with a friend, teacher or group lead to sustained change?
-Who believes in you that may support you in this process of change?
-Are you willing to put forth the effort and work to create healthy behavior change?
-Is there someone that you admire that changed their lives through adopting a new and healthy behavior? How has their life changed?
This assignment should be at least 400 words with you diving into a behavior that can optimize your wellness. I encourage you to believe in yourselves as you work through this assignment.
