Reading reflections (300-500 words, due on Mondays before class at 9am)
Reflections must engage, reflect on and outline your views or perspectives on the class material, including readings, lectures and/or activities. Consider paying attention to the following:
What are some important dates mentioned by the author (contextualize)?
Specify some key words and define them as per the reading.
What stood out to you in the week’s topic/readings?
These reflections:
can take the form of an academic reflection or personal diary
can be written from a personal perspective
may include artistic, visual or multimedia components
should be well written, reflect careful thought, and be properly cited (MLA or APA)
This aspect of the student evaluation is related to assessing your critical understanding, knowledge of, and ability to engage with the class material, concepts, policies and practices relevant to the course topic; and pertinent developments in our fields.
