You will want to do the hydrology readings prior to completing this
first discussion post. This first prompt has a text response and a
graphic upload. Draw a sample graph of a stream hydrograph before and
after development (numbers and units don’t matter, but axis titles do).
To be specific – your graph should have two curves, one pre-, one
post-development, make sure each is identifiable (like one solid, one
dashed). (Hand draw, take a picture with your phone or scan, create on
your tablet. Axes should be like the sample below)
How
does urban development alter a storm event hydrograph (explain)? How
does the urban development impact GW recharge (explain)? What are some
infrastructure changes that can be made to make urban areas more
sustainable for GW? This question has, at a minimum, a flow component.
It can also have a chemistry component.
