When reading articles, researching, etc. you should be doing this for comprehension and for the ability to synthesize your own thoughts from this work. These thoughts should still be cited. Your papers similarity threshold needed to be under 20%. Yes, I know that some things can skew this score and I do take that into account but if you are using a lot of direct quotes (you shouldn’t be!) then this will affect the score. There should be more paraphrasing than quoting.
Properly cited and include a citation page. When you paraphrase, you must still cite the source. It wasn’t your idea, someone else owns that idea. Give credit where credit is due.
