What are the personal and/or social consequences that result when people are judged by surfaces?

Option 1:
Answer the following question: What are the personal and/or social consequences that result when people are judged by surfaces? Each body paragraph should include a concrete example to prove your point. You should include a counterargument paragraph (you can include a rebuttal in the same paragraph or you can have two separate paragraphs). Please use details from your sources (quotes from the texts that you analyze closely).
For your argument you should concentrate on one of the following areas.
Beauty standards
Race and/or ethnicity
National origin or immigration status
Class status
To make your argument refer to at least two texts. The following are suggested as at least one of the texts:
Walker, Alice. “Beauty: When the Other Dancer is the Self.” The Little Norton Reader, edited by Melissa A. Goldthwaite, W.W. Norton, 2017.
Jimenez, Francisco. “The Circuit.” The Circuit: Stories from the Life of a Migrant Child, University of New Mexico Press, 1997
Alexie, Sherman. “Superman and Me.” The Little Norton Reader, edited by Melissa A. Goldthwaite, W.W. Norton, 2017.
Yankel-Smith, Bonnie. “My Mother Never Worked.” https://www.crosbyisd.org/cms/lib6/TX02216626/Centricity/Domain/50/7th-PG3-my_mother_never_worked.pdf
Option 2:
Pick a film or T.V. show. Make an argument about how it perpetuates stereotypes, or how it offers good role models. For this paper one of your sources will be the Movie or T.V. show itself. You should analyze at least one particular scene to give concrete details to prove your point. Your argument should include a second source that can be a text from the class (such as “What Hollywood movies do to perpetuate racial stereotypes”) or outside research. You should include a counterargument paragraph (you can include a rebuttal in the same paragraph or you can have two separate paragraphs). Please use details from your sources (quotes from the texts that you analyze closely, analysis of particular scenes and dialogue from the movie/show you choose).
Option 3.
Answer the following: Do you think that unwaged work like child-care and housework are undervalued? If so why? If not, why not? Each body paragraph should include a concrete example to prove your point. You should include a counterargument paragraph (you can include a rebuttal in the same paragraph or you can have two separate paragraphs). It is recommended that you make reference to “My Mother Never Worked” and one other text from outside research. Please use details from your sources (quotes from the texts that you analyze closely).
