The assignment is to pick a passage or section of text containing a standalone argument, an explanation of a difficult concept or idea, or something similar (with the book Nicomachean Ethics Book I, X. Then try to analyze a passage within it. The definition of analyze here is literally to examine methodically and in detail the constitution or structure of something for purposes of explanation and interpretation. This is a textual analysis, not considered a short essay with a thesis, arguments, and a conclusion, nor a summary of the text. The analysis must present my own original insights into what’s going on. You should be focussed on a Nero issue within a short stretch of text not a topic that spans the entire book I referenced above. Must be 12 point font. Some examples of questions to be answered are as followed, how does the argument work? What are the premises and how do they support the conclusion? What role is played by the distinction between doing what seems fit and doing what you want.
