In-depth Lesson Plan:
The in-depth lesson plan assignment is designed to assess your selection and use of high-leverage teaching behaviors and evidence-based practices to meet the needs of a specific group of students who you’ve described in your Context for Learning. It requires you to clearly represent your thinking and teaching in writing, and mirrors the type of attention to detail and plan alignment that is characteristic of edTPA plans.
To facilitate my review of the in-depth plan, it is important that you include all headings and all questions, writing your response directly beneath each question. Do not skip questions.
A Note on Grading:
The entire lesson plan is worth 45 points. Throughout the semester, you will submit the lesson plan in sections. This is to facilitate my feedback .You will make revisions (based on the feedback you receive) which should be evident in subsequent submissions and in your final submitted plan. In other words, Part 2 should include all of part 1, plus revisions; part 3 should include all of parts 1 and 2 plus revisions, and so on. The revisions should be made directly beneath the question at issue in the same color and font. There is no need to highlight the revision.
You will receive a grade of 5 points for each of three submissions (Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3) for a total of 15 points; however, late submissions will not be reviewed, and a grade of zero will be entered. Submissions that do not evidence revisions based on my feedback will result in a lowered grade.
