Write a brief synopsis of what you discussed in your Process Letter.
Discuss the individual or family as a case. How did the symptoms develop?
Create a diagnosis for one of the characters/people/cases. What aspects are you identifying as qualifications for this diagnosis? Cite the symptoms listed in the DSM5-TR.
What are you ruling out? Why?
Create a treatment plan, list format is acceptable.
Include some discussion of diversity issues (ethnicity, gender and class). What theories would work for this population? Which would not? Will SES be a problem for this person? Would they struggle to ask for help because “men aren’t weak?” What issues are not being represented by the DSM?
The paper should be double-spaced, APA style – as long as it needs to be.
Final paper will be discussed as a roundtable.
