If the documentation of Sex at birth (on official Birth Certificates) was corrected to account for Intersex people, then this would need to account for a change in the binary code of Gender (no more Female/Male); this would also then need to alter the binary code of sexuality (No more Homosexual/Heterosexual). What benefits would this change to Birth Certificates bring to the Social Structure? What do you imagine Society would be like if we recognized Intersex people? What Institutional changes would need to occur? *This is not a research paper, this is an essay where you use your Sociological Imgination and draw upon the theories you have learned this semester.
