What changes to your appearance have you noticed in middle adulthood?

If you choose to do this reflection paper, you are asked to interview a “middle aged adult” which is an adult between the ages of 40-60 years of age. In this interview, you want to see how your adult’s answers compare and contrast to the information in chapters 13 and 14 from the textbook. This assignment is worth 30 points, and you can see the rubric for more details on how I will grade your answers.
When interviewing your adult, choose 6 of the possible topics below to ask in your interview and then write up 4 of those responses in your refection paper. Be sure to describe what the text/lecture has to say about those topics with citations and then comparing what your interviewed adult had to say about those topics (was it similar or different than what the text said).
WARNING: Students in the past forget to integrate the textbook and citations in with their answers. You need to do that to get full credit for this reflection paper!
Possible Interview topics:
1. What changes to your appearance have you noticed in middle adulthood?
2. What physical health changes, if any, have occurred in middle adulthood? (Hint: Could be blood pressure, cholesterol, or even changes to lung capacity, lifting weights, cardio)
3. Have you noticed any cognitive changes lately? (Hint: ask about memory, multitasking, other)
4. Have you ever thought about the lasting impact you will leave on this earth after you die? (Note: This question is asking if the person has thought about Generativity)
5. Have you had a mid-life crisis? If so, describe it. (Note: If they say they haven’t be sure to tell them that only 1/3 of adults claim to have had one and it is usually tied to a life event.)
6. In what ways has your personality changed since you were younger and in what ways has it remained the same?
7. How has your religion/faith/spirituality changed? Has it increased or decreased?
8. If you have had children who have moved out of your home (Empty nest), how did that impact your marriage, hobbies, mental health, finances
Paper should be 1-1.5 pages double-spaced.
Be sure to cite at least one source (i.e., textbook, lecture) a minimum of 3 times within the paper. Also, be sure to proofread your paper for writing errors.
Citation Information
When you are citing the textbook in your reflection papers or discussions, you will need to cite using APA format at the end of sentence. Here’s an example: It is important to provide sensitive and responsive care to infants (Santrock, 2021). Notice that an APA citation contains the last name of the author and the date it was published. You ONLY provide a page number if you have a direct quote. For example, “It is imperative that parents provide responsive care to infants” (Santrock, 2021, p. 104). If you want to cite any of the content from the power point slides/lecture videos then do it this way: (Hagan, 2021, slide 5).
