We have learned that a discourse community has acquired some specific lexis. This simply refers to the jargon specific and often unique to a community but also required by the members of that community for intercommunication. Describe some of the key lexis in this presentation.
A discourse community has a threshold level of members with a suitable degree of relevant content and discoursal expertise. Does the viewer need to hold some expertise in fields such as: capitalism, legal doctrine, western social norms, cultural practices? If so, which ones are important to understand within this discourse medium?
