Work on making sure that each body paragraph has at least 1, but more likely 2, sources of evidence for your supporting reasons. After any outside evidence you include, you should always provide your interpretation as to why it is relevant to your argument.
Review the question or prompt. Does your paper answer all of the parts?
Review your organization. Does each part make sense in the order you put it? Do you have both a clear context paragraph and a counterargument?
Review the points you make. How much support (data, quotes, examples) will each point need to be convincing?
Review your readers’ expectations. Does anything need to be defined or clarified?
Go through these steps and rewrite your essay, paying attention to the content, not the grammar (yet).
