What do you consider to have been the best part of your high school education experience? What was the worst part? What change(s) would have made things better?

To get started, we’ll begin with a Discussion Forum in response to two (here in our Module Week 9) sources: the article “Why Education Must Change” by Richard Worzel and the Tedtalk “Do Schools Kill Creativity?” by Ken Robinson.
Please read the article, watch the video, and answer the following four questions. Post your response (at least 500 words) to this Discussion Forum 8.
Once you’ve posted, respond to three peers by supporting or rebutting (questioning/opposing/proposing an alternate view to) their ideas…with your own specific examples.
1. Choose one part (direct quotation from/point) of Richard Worzel’s article and focus on it. Why does it stand out? What does it mean? Do you agree or disagree? What example, from your own education experience could be used as support or rebuttal of it?
2. During his Tedtalk, Ken Robinson proposes, “Creativity is as important in education as literacy and we should treat it with the same status.” What does he mean? Do you agree or disagree? Why? Has creativity been valued in your own education? If so, when and how so?
3. Also during his Tedtalk, Ken Robinson remarks, “Education is meant to take us into a future that we can’t grasp.” What does he mean? Is this a significant observation? Do you agree or disagree with him? Can you provide an example of how your high school education was or was not a success in preparing you for the future?
