For the final paper, students must interview a practicing HR professional and combine the
content of the interview with course content, and self-reflection. Prior to the interview, students
should prepare at least ten open-ended questions representing content from eight different
chapters in the required textbook. Submitted assignment should include:
o Name of the person interviewed and his/her employer 5 pts
o List of questions with corresponding textbook chapter 5 pts
o Summary of answers to questions 50 pts
o Personal response to interview (What surprised/concerned/excited you?) 15 pts
o Self-Reflection
• Identification of at least three areas of HR management that hold personal interest.
Why are these areas of interest? 15 pts
• Identification of at least three areas of HR management that will require additional
knowledge and skill development. What is will be your strategy to develop these
areas? 15 pts
• Presentation of how personal faith will inform future human resource management
decisions and practices. Of what relevance is your faith? (Utilize the Steward book to
assist with section of the paper.) 15 pts
