What do YOU think are great toys for young children and why do you think this? What are some of the toys you remember as a child and, if you have children, what toys have you bought for your own?

So, let’s talk infant and toddler
toys. What do YOU think are great toys for young children and
why do you think this? What are some of the toys you remember as a child and,
if you have children, what toys have you bought for your own?

Are there toys/ materials/ etc. that are
just for boys and some just for girls? If yes, what are some examples of toys
just for one gender? What would happen,
what would you say if a father came to you and said he did not want his toddler
boy to play in the home living canter? What if he said he did not want his
daughter playing with the blocks and cars?
How will you respond to his concerns?

What, too, do you think of the huge use
of tablets, phones and computers that are (generally) used instead of
toys? Do you see children playing with toys or with tablets? Years
from now, do you think kiddos will have issues with interaction, I mean,
tablets and phones are singular activities, yes? How well do you think will
kiddos of today will interact when they must interact (school, jobs, etc.)?
4) In the Blog you are asked to list toys and materials that connect
with a particular GELDS and Indicator.
But here I would like to know what RULES should be implemented with regards to toys and materials in an
Infant and/ or Toddler classroom. Please
provide at least three with an
explanation of your decision for this rule.
Here is one example: Each popular toy or item in the Infant or
Toddler classroom must have a duplicate so that the children are not “forced”
to share.
