What have you learned from this chapter that surprised you or that was something you never knew before? What is your opinion on the various topics? chapter 13 -Do you know anyone who is homosexual and went through the process of ‘coming out’ to their family? How did that affect them? You can talk about a man or a woman. What rights would you expect? chapter 14 Rape and intimate partner violence are important topics in this chapter. Were you surprised by any of the statistics or trends that were discussed? (Don’t use names if you do know someone). chapter 15 -Mental health is a very important topic, and there is a stigma associated with being diagnosed with a psychological disorder. What is your view on this? What do you think is causing the gender differences that are seen in various disorders (depression, alcohol abuse, etc.)? chapter 16 This chapter focuses on men; was there anything that surprised you regarding stereotypes about men and the roles that men play? What is your experience with male roles?
