What do you think that the speaker means when she distinguishes between ‘corporate social responsibility’ and ‘human social responsibility’? Do you think that corporations have taken their ‘social responsibility’ too seriously? Should they just focus on selling products and making money, leaving philanthropy to individuals and nonprofits, and social policy to governments? Or, if social responsibility is a legitimate activity for businesses, should they be involving employees more in deciding which social causes to support?
