(1) what do you understand feeding the family to be, and in what way it is about uncovering hidden meaning. What, to you, is the hidden meaning uncovered? In what way is it knowledge? (2) Imagine what everyday activity you could study, and discuss what are some of the reasons going into that topic (i.e. what is the background knowledge, literary or other inspirations, or any other inspiration you can think of that leads you to this idea). Using the reading on the pandemic housework survey, think about how those discoveries might shape what you investigate now in this particular moment. (This thinking can help you with your fieldwork activity for Lesson 11). The best examples will be something that isnt named, thus you will draw on an intuition about daily life. Keep in mind that you want to demonstrate how it is an everyday activity with the potential to show us new meaning. As always, use direct quotations, and ground your writing in our course concepts. Be sure to include a puzzle (or question) and your provisional response. And dont forget to use a creative, thought provoking title.
