What does Codecademy in general do?

This assignment combines two types of technical writing, coding and product reviewing. Product reviews are incredibly common today, but they’re not all created equal; some are more helpful than others. To write this assignment, you’ll provide a review of any of the tutorials on Khan Academy. You must put in a minimum of 4 hours and show me the proof. That will enable you to write about your experience: Which program did you choose, and why? What was fun as you learned it? What challenges did you face? In general, was the experience easy or hard?

Put your reactions into a Product Review, following the page “Writing a Product Review,” on the Oxford/Lexico site. Follow these steps:

• Use the product first. Duh, right? But as the article points out, you need to be able to cite evidence of having actually used Codecademy in your review; otherwise, you quickly lose street cred.

• Research a possible venue where you might, in theory, publish this review.

• Compose an introduction that sets up the issue/problem/s that Codecademy is trying to address.

• Describe the product—what does this tutorial do? What does Codecademy in general do? What services do they provide? Who is their target demographic?

• Deliver your verdict—worthwhile, not, or in-between? Be sure to touch on pros and cons, and to be balanced, again, to maintain your ethos.
