What does it tell us about our inner human nature and our choices?

The standard length for the paper is 1200 to 1800 words or 4 to 6 pages. It should be in proper academic format, footnoted. Papers that are not well-researched and footnoted will be penalized, as will papers not in the correct academic format. Footnotes are required, so read the A3 Style Guide, which is available under “Files” on Canvas. Papers must be on time, and on topic.

· Sam Cywiak / Boy in the Striped Pajamas: Sam Cywiak’s book Flight from Fear shows a tale of escape from the Holocaust. In The Boy in the Striped Pajamas the tale is of being consumed by the same madness of the Holocaust. How are the two tales of escape and imprisonment ironically related? Give a comparative account, showing mostly reference to Sam Cywiak’s story, but also to the film, of how our choices result in hope, fear, or destruction. What does it tell us about our inner human nature and our choices?
