What does the research say about current challenges for mental health practitioners that are working with folks who have this kind of trauma?

Here is an outline of requirements for your final paper copied right from your syllabus. Citations throughout your paper as well as using the outline is what I’m looking for every semester. Topics are assigned at random (see end of this email) based on your last name. Read carefully. Thank you!
Paper: Trauma Research (150 points) DUE NO LATER THAN July 30th at midnight.
This research paper will be in traditional format with a cover letter, body and a reference page (using at least 3 outside references excluding the text book) from books or journal articles. Citations should be throughout the paper to support your research. The student focuses in-depth on a trauma, crisis or disaster issue in the counseling field. Every student will do their own research paper. Do not tell us what trauma is-we know by the end of the course. The topics are assigned at random, every semester with every student who has taken the course.
Topics are identified in the syllabus and randomly assigned by the first letter of your last name. I’ve done this randomly for the last 10 years of teaching this course. It’s the best way. Paper due July 30th at midnight at this time, as stated in the final week of coursework (week 8).You upload your final paper on MY CC and/or email it please.
(8 typed, double spaced pages, not including the cover page or reference page).
The paper must include: (if relates to the specific topic assigned) the following:
-A detailed description of the trauma topic being researched. (Facts, statistics, definitions, etc) Do not tell us what Trauma is. We already know, stay in line with your topic specifically.
-Symptoms/Common responses that come along with the diagnosis.
-Discuss common diagnosis for your topic (if that is applicable for your topic)
-What does the research say about current challenges for mental health practitioners that are working with folks who have this kind of trauma?
– Who is affected (or at risk groups) by this trauma topic? (gender, race, socioeconomic, language, history, etc)
-Is there potential for the trauma/symptoms to impact the counseling process? If so, how?
-Have policies or practices changed regarding communities/organizations/schools/ etc. to attend to and support these traumatized individuals? How?
-Are there things a therapist should not do?
-Current best treatment approaches for the topic
-How can family, friends, communities help this individual/populations?
It is possible that this outline won’t make sense for your topic. Use your best judgement. I will be using turn it in to ensure students are researching ethically.
