What elements do these stories have that align with the scholarly essays we have already read?

There Are 4 Questions

Question 1:
Ashputtle–the Cinderella story in the Grimm’s world. A story much like the one we know, except for pitch, cutting off toes and heels, and being blinded by doves. Regardless, Ashputtle is a fairy tale that embodies the element of unjust oppression and receiving the triumphant reward. The story of Cinderella is often associated with being a “girl’s” story because of the elements within it that have been targeted towards girls.
In this post, describe the elements that make this story fall under the “girl” category. Be as detailed as possible and use references to the story itself. Additionally, are there any other elements that could help this to grow into a “boy’s” story? How would you introduce this story to a little girl versus a little boy?

Pick a concept/literary element (realism, fantasy, gender issues, satire, censorship) and then pick at least 2-3 stories from any part of the book to analyze under that concept. This will be considered a literary analysis paper, so your whole goal is to relate your stories to the element that you pick. When constructing your essay, ask yourself, how do the stories fall under these literary concepts? What elements do these stories have that align with the scholarly essays we have already read? What unique arguments could you make to show that these stories truly contain elements of the concept you picked? Use your secondary sources to support your thesis. Remember, always relate it back to the audience of these stories–children. Build your essay around the thesis that these stories are meant for children and that the literary concepts need to be viewed from the perspective of a child.
