Topic Sentence – (Thesis statement following the G.O.A.T. format): Why is it valuable that we look at your chosen piece of literature through the critical lens you are using? What do we learn?
3 Point, Proof, Comments – Develop an argument using 3 point-proof-comments (p-p-c) that support your thesis. Integrate information about the story as well (in the set up to the quotes)
a. Carefully choose evidence (quotes) for each p-p-c.
b. In each comment, be sure to analyze the language of the quote, explaining how it connects and relates to the point, and your overall thesis.
Concluding Sentence
a. Restate your argument (thesis) in a different order than in the topic sentence
