What ideas did the readings confirm in your mind?

Summary & Response (This essay is worth 200 points):
A summary presents the main and supporting ideas of a text in a way that reduces these statements down to just the bare minimum. Summaries do not focus on the individual details of a text. Summaries focus on the overall, broader ideas being described within a text.
A response focuses on your learning after reading the sources:
1- What new ideas did you learn from the readings? Dedicate one paragraph for each new idea you learned and explain the idea and how it is new to you.
2- What ideas did the readings confirm in your mind? Dedicate one paragraph for each confirmed idea you had and explain this idea.
3- What new vocabulary words did you learn from the readings.
4- Your concluding paragraph will focus on what you want the readers to know about your experience from reading the sources for this essay.
This essay will focus on a summary and response of one of the texts posted on our Moodle site. You may choose only one short text and write a summary and response essay based on that text. This essay must be double spaced typed pages in proper MLA format, and must be 1000 words minimum in length. Please refer to the file posted on our Moodle site for proper MLA formatting guidelines.
