What is a creative project you would love to work on some day, in connection to the discipline identified above? Briefly describe what it would be like. Budget, feasibility, and time are not constraints in this ideal scenario.

Review the description of Major Project 3 ( see attachment) , and respond to the following prompts in this discussion board:
Professional Interest (1-2 sentences): Describe your career goals or area of study. If it is not directly related to art and design, explain how those fields might relate to it or be utilized within your discipline.
Dream Project (1-2 sentences): What is a creative project you would love to work on some day, in connection to the discipline identified above? Briefly describe what it would be like. Budget, feasibility, and time are not constraints in this ideal scenario.
Topic of Inquiry (50-100 words): Briefly summarize a subject you wish to research and explore for the remainder of the class. Keeping in mind the premise of Major Project 3, what issue, location, phenomena, or aspect of contemporary life might you feel passionate enough about to explore creatively? Connections to digital technology and experience are encouraged but not necessary. The “dream project” above may serve as inspiration.
Data (1-2 sentences): What is something you can quantify or measure related to your topic of inquiry? This could be original data collection or existing research that you find online.
Project Logline (one sentence): Briefly describe what you plan to make and what the work is about—or explores.
Process: (100-200 words): Describe the process required to produce your artwork, including any software or materials you may require. Include what exactly you plan to research and where you might look for information. How might you utilize data to design the form of your artwork or support your written research?
Original Sketch: Include an original image of what your artwork might look like. This could be a scanned drawing on paper, a digital illustration, photo-collage, 3D rendering, design style guide, or whatever makes sense for your project.
Examples of Data Visualization: Include 2 images of data visualization that you are drawn too. These don’t have to relate to your topic of inquiry or artwork specifically, but should illustrate novel or compelling ways to visualize data. Your artwork may literally be a data visualization, but if it isn’t, you still have to create an original figure in the essay, so I want you to look for ideas of how to creatively display numbers.
Resources
Here are some places to look for examples of data-visualization. Infographics sometimes utilize data visualization, but are not necessarily the best examples of the technique. A true data visualization uses visual shapes and imagery to communicate the relationships and connections between data. A bar graph is a simple type of data visualization, but there are many more novel and revealing ways to visually represent data. Some infographics use visual imagery merely as decoration, and are thus not ideal examples.
