What is a “learning organization”? Is the organization you are describing a learning organization?

Choose an organization of your acquaintance or one for which you can
easily find detailed information. For that organization write a paper that
addresses one of the following items.

What is a “learning organization”? Is the organization you are
describing a learning organization? Why or why not? What might it do to improve
its organizational learning?

What can you say about the stress and aggression at the organization
you’ve chosen? Is there too much stress or too little? What is your evidence
for your opinion? What could be done to make the organization approach an optimum
level of stress?

Choose an organization which has had a long (and visible) history of
labor negotiations. Describe what the organization wanted to result from two or
three of those negotiations. (That is, what were its criteria for success?) In
each negotiation, did it achieve its desires? Why or why not?

Describe the basic assumptions of the organization, that is, its
culture. How did they arise? How do they affect the organization today?
The paper must be in proper written format. The written report should be
6-8 typed pages, plus the title page, reference pages, graphics, and any
appendices you feel are necessary.
