I have attached appropriate books.

Please address two parts of the question what is culture and why should it matter to us today.
Also please acknowledge the discussion about culture as a set of rules to control the society
• Consider how ‘culture’ is often seen as synonymous with: customs, practices, rituals,
religion, language, food, clothes, etc. But it is also associated with ethnicity, territory,
society, and nation. Furthermore, ‘culture’ has been described in terms of providing a
social function, and associated with rules and forms of social control.
• Think carefully about the question: Who is ‘us’ and where are ‘we’? Maybe culture matters
more in some locations than others?
