Prompt: The Ethical Self-Awareness Evaluation focuses on the Existence of God. In this essay students will write an essay minimally 500 words in multiple well-formed paragraphs. The topic of the essay is: Whether religious experience is compatible with reason? The topic is more than a simple “yes or no” with some “tossed in” as reasons. Rather, in entails asking whether or not religious experience contributes to a meaningful existence. This opens up the possibility of looking at responses from readings that respond to one another. What is not acceptable is a relativistic response of “it just depends on the person” (unless one wants a grade of C or less).
